Sagar, having majority of
Jains is considered to have a strong hold of Congress.
Here always it's a Congress candidate who wins but
during 1993 assembly elections BJP'S Sudha Jain broke
the trend and won. Today also she is the representative
of this seat. Bad condition of Sagar lake and water
crisis has always been and major issue during elections.
Both the problems have not been solved yet. The
starting of Rajghat Water Conservation Scheme is
considered to be a major step in solving the problem.
Still the matter will remain an issue for the elections
in this area. |
