Dabra, in Gwalior district is among the places where BSP was successful in making it's hold. Congress and BJP both went into loss because of BSP. During 1990 elections BSP acquired second position and surprised Congress and BJP. Later in 1993 seat went into their pockets. In early elections although BJP made BSP come on second position but still the difference of the votes was hardly one thousand. Congress in the election had to face the loss. Having majority of Brahmin, Ravat, Baghel voters earlier caste equation did not had any impact on the election but later BSP broke this myth.
