Bhander, having majority of backward class voters is reserved for scheduled
cast. Besides this there are Yadav and Brahmin voters too. Earlier the votes
were divided into Congress and BJP, but now BSP too is becoming powerful here.
BSP had acquired second position during 1993 elections and in 1998 it came into
power. By earlier election it is clear that this area is not in favour of any
particular party or people. Till now in Bhander Congress has won four times
whereas BJP had five times victory. |
